Mohammad Abu Sayed is a Consultant at Evaluation and Consulting Services Ltd. (ECONS). He is a seasoned researcher, data specialist, and monitoring & evaluation expert with nearly two decades of experience in applied research, survey design, and quantitative analysis across Bangladesh. Currently serving as Data Manager at Evaluation and Consulting Services Ltd. (ECONS), he brings deep technical expertise to the full research lifecycle — from study design and tool development to field operations, data quality assurance, and analytical reporting.
Abu Sayed holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the Bangladesh Institute of Health Sciences, a Master of Public Affairs (MPA) from BIGM, and an M.Sc. in Applied Statistics from the University of Dhaka, equipping him with a rigorous multidisciplinary foundation in both quantitative and public policy research.
Over his career, he has held senior roles at internationally recognized organizations including RTI International, Helen Keller International, Save the Children, Plan International Bangladesh, BBC Media Action, and Transparency International Bangladesh. He has led and contributed to large-scale national surveys, education research, anti-corruption studies, and media landscape assessments — many in partnership with clients such as the World Bank.
His areas of expertise include research methodology, sampling frameworks, statistical data analysis, enumerator training and supervision, and the ethical management of nationwide field operations.
